I've spent most of my career fixing things. I started at Hewlett-Packard, moving through finance and marketing roles in California and Madrid over seven years — good training for understanding how a business actually works underneath the org chart. After that, I ran a series of companies that needed to be turned around: Red Colombia, Brightpoint's Andean operation, and later ETEK International, Colombia's largest cybersecurity integrator, where we cut costs without losing our edge and ended up doubling the business and quadrupling earnings.

In 2019, I co-founded Finkargo with a simple idea: importers across LatAm were stuck moving goods, money, and data through emails and spreadsheets, and there had to be a better way. I've run the operation since day one. Today we're at a US$40M revenue run rate, EBITDA-positive, with over US$1.6 billion in trade financed and a 0.6% default rate — none of which happens on its own. It happens because someone owns the day-to-day, and that's been my job.

I have an MBA from HEC Paris and an engineering degree from Universidad de los Andes. Alongside that, I also started a company distributing software to help businesses digitize and automate their processes, and I'm a founding partner of latotuga.com.
