QED investors
London, United Kingdom
QED Lead:
Enrique is a Principal at QED based in London, focusing on early-stage investments across Europe.
Before joining QED, he spent seven years at Speedinvest, where he invested in fintech and marketplace companies from pre-seed to Series B. He joined as an intern and worked his way up to Principal, leading investments in category-defining companies such as Wayflyer and Moove. He also played a key role in expanding the firm’s international presence, spending time on the ground in both Africa and the GCC.
Born and raised in Barcelona in a German household, Enrique has lived and worked across Europe, the US, and the Middle East. He brings a global outlook and a hands-on approach to partnering with founders from day one.
Enrique holds a bachelor’s degree in management and finance from ESADE. Outside of work, he’s into just about every sport, a former triple and long jumper, and a longtime music lover — with tastes ranging from jazz to Berlin techno.
Fun Facts
• Even though I’ve invested in +15 fintech companies around the world — many of them in the credit space — I’ve never actually owned a credit card.
• I used to compete in triple jump, which now feels like the perfect metaphor for early-stage investing: run, hop, pray for a soft landing.
• I always pack gym clothes on every trip… and without fail, they end up doubling as pyjamas.
