Manolo is the Co-Founder & CEO at Fairplay, a Revenue-Based Financing Platform, but his experience as an entrepreneur and intrapreneur goes way before.
As former COO for Mountain Nazca México he was also Managing Partner of Altered Ventures, a Cashflow Investment Fund focused on the Gaming Industry. Before that, as Co-Founder of Parkiller, a Corporate Car Services platform in Mexico and Co-Founder and COO of Pulpomatic, the first Fleet Management platform in Latin America and Europe. At the same time, he is an active angel investor of different startups, both in Mexico and abroad. (i.e. Kavak, Cornershop, Justo, Nowports, Clara, Havoc, Ridian, Vaas, etc.).
Fun Facts
• I live a bit of a double life: fintech founder and CEO by day, abstract artist under a pseudonym by night. I intentionally keep both worlds completely separate and never mix the two identities.
• Until 19 months ago, I had never written anything longer than an email. Since then, I’ve finished my first book and I’m now outlining my second: a historical novel set more than 150 years ago.
• I built an AI-generated funk and soul band complete with its own name, identity, and growing discography. It already has more than 25 songs, all created entirely with AI tools.
Note: The ironic part is that all three were born within the last two years. In retrospect, they may have been less creative projects and more an elaborate plan to avoid a spectacular founder meltdown.
