QED Lead:
Simon Goodall is the CEO of Caribou.
Simon started selling cars during college, where he learned a lot about sales, credit, and understanding what customers need—all while helping people get their high car payments. After that, he decided that had the chance to help a legacy furniture company embrace e-commerce, becoming Amazon’s second marketplace vendor.
From there, he moved into Fintech, working for a SaaS business that helped small and medium-sized businesses streamline their financial services. Then, Simon joined an offline travel agency and worked with a great team to transform it into a $1 billion+ online leader.
Previously, Simon served as the Chief Commercial Officer at Groupon, leading their global business. He originally joined in 2011 to launch their travel business, which grew into a $1 billion global success.
Outside of work, Simon and his wife, Stephanie, love to travel with their four kids. So far, they’ve explored five continents and visited 26+ countries together. They are deeply committed to pediatric cancer research, a cause that became very personal after their son was diagnosed with a brain tumor in 2015.
